About Pantrifuge (boilerplate)

Short (1 sentence): Pantrifuge is a Canadian app that helps households track their pantry, fridge, and freezer so food gets eaten before it expires.

Medium (2 sentences): Pantrifuge is a Canadian-built app that helps families cut grocery waste with barcode scanning, expiry tracking, and AI meal suggestions based on what's about to go bad. A built-in marketplace also lets independent grocers sell near-expiry stock at a discount to nearby shoppers.

Long (paragraph): Pantrifuge is a Canadian consumer app tackling household food waste — a problem that costs the average Canadian family roughly $1,300 a year and contributes to nearly 8% of global greenhouse gas emissions. The app combines barcode scanning, AI-assisted item entry, expiry tracking, meal-planning suggestions tuned to what's about to expire, and a local marketplace where grocery stores can sell discounted near-expiry items to nearby households. Founder bio

Elihu Jacob is the founder of Pantrifuge, a Canadian app helping families cut grocery waste through smart pantry tracking and AI-powered meal suggestions. Elihu is an IT support specialist currently working with Valstone DBA GeoMetrix. He has been in the technical support role for more than 15 years in Canada. Elihu found that he has personally been throwing out food either because it expired, went bad or was just too much and there was no easy way to share or donate such food. Hence, the reason he came up with Pantrifuge. Elihu is happily married to the love of his life Zara and they both live together in the small town of Airdrie Alberta. Our company is based in Airdrie, they speak on food waste, consumer AI, and household economics.

Available for: live demos, expert quotes on food waste & grocery budgeting, podcast interviews, broadcast segments.

Quotable lines (use freely)

"The biggest driver of household food waste isn't laziness — it's that people genuinely forget what they already have."
"If every Canadian household saved even $20 a week on groceries by eating what they already own, that's over a billion dollars staying in family budgets — and out of landfills."
"Independent grocers throw out perfectly good food every day because there was no easy way to tell shoppers it was on sale. Pantrifuge fixes that."
